Some nights after lots of furious typing I unwind with a little bit of Sake. The bottle in the photograph should be two helpings for one person, basically something one would drink during a meal. I'm such a light weight when it comes to alcohol, I've been nursing this drink for a month now! I drink one or two small shots of it and that will put me right to sleep.

I still haven't developed a taste for alcohol. Every so often my husband will have a little sip of something and I'll agree to try something with him. Tonight we tried two different types of brandy (the bulk of which will be going into French onion soup). The first one smelled and tasted like paint thinner to me. The second one smelled slightly less like paint thinner but also smelled vaguely of my husband's sweaty shoes. It also tasted like how I'd expect his sweaty shoes to taste. Let's just say I didn't enjoy either. I had one sip of each and dumped the rest of my glasses down the sink.Current Mood:  not drunk Current Music: Wait... Wait... Don't Tell Me |
